Alissa was born and has lived most of her life in St. Louis, Missouri.

Growing up, Alissa spent a lot of time playing and exploring outside.  She believes that her close association with nature had profound effects on the way she perceives the world.

What drives Alissa's spirit of creativity is finding all the little nuances that make this life tick.  She chooses to express herself through illustration and photography finding the beauty and unique facets that may be overlooked by the everyday passerby.

Her love of detail is displayed whimsically with the way she incorporates a sense of humor and silliness into her art.

Alissa graduated Horton Watkins High School in 1986.  After that she attended Kansas City Art Institute.

Alissa being a professional artist has sold many cards and illustrated a book, 'I Will Always Be With You'.  Currently she is expanding her talents to create a world of children's literature and toys.

The births of her two children were the inspiration to create, 'An Armful of ABC's' a magical book that was fun yet educational!
